Tessa Blanchard VS Toni Storm

Good evening and welcome to Impact. In last week’s main event the TV Champion Velvet Sky scored a huge pinfall win over the World Champion Candice Michelle in their tag team contest. As we head to the Pay Per View, will Velvet make the most of her momentum by cashing in for a shot at the World Title? There’s also been a change on the card tonight due to injury. Charlotte was set to face Jenny Rose in a semi final match up but due to Charlotte’s heinous assault in the quarter final contest, Jenny Rose will be out for quite some time with cruciate ligament damage. Dixie Carter has therefore given Charlotte a bye to the final against the winner of tonight’s other semi. Both Toni and Tessa are in the ring ready to go as the bell sounds.

Tessa unleashes a flurry of forearms to the face of Toni to start us off, staggering the young Aussie powerhouse. Nice kick to the midsection doubles Toni Storm over.

Devastating counter by Toni Storm with the German suplex. She just folded Tessa Blanchard up there. She’s not done yet as she pulls Tessa back to her feet.

Near fall there from the Fisherman’s suplex. Toni Storm’s powerful offence has turned this match right on it’s head. She lifts Tessa off the canvas and drops her spine first with a scoop slam. Toni using the ropes for momentum, leg drop connects over the throat of Tessa. She hooks the leg, one, two, kick out by Tessa Blanchard. Toni Storm drags Tessa back to her feet again, Tessa fights back with some shots to the ribcage. Nasty throat strike by Tessa Blanchard catches Toni Storm off guard.

Wow, it’s over as Tessa scrambles into the cover, one, two, shoulder up just in time by Toni Storm. How did she manage that? It might not matter as Tessa Blanchard drags her carcass up off the mat, Toni is deadweight. A second Cutter executed to perfection by Tessa Blanchard. She hooks both legs this time, one, two, three, no!!! Toni Storm grabbed the bottom rope. Bad luck for Tessa Blanchard, if she had Toni half a foot away from the ropes she would be in the final right now. She drags Toni Storm to the middle of the ring and hooks the leg to make the cover, one, two, thr…..shoulder up in the nick of time by Toni Storm. Tessa signals to the fans that this is it as she lifts Toni Storm up by the head and sets her up, looking to hit a Piledriver. Desperation counter by Toni Storm with a back body drop, but effective, giving her a second to catch her breath. Nice uppercut by Toni catches Tessa unaware as she comes up off her knees.

One, two, three. Now that’s how you hit a Piledriver. Toni Storm advances to the final in a close call that could have gone either way. Neither of these women have anything to be ashamed of as they both left it all in the ring tonight.

Christy: Here is your winner, Toni Storm!

Folks we’ve just had word that Velvet Sky wants to make an announcement. We go live where So Cal Val is standing alongside her.

Velvet: Last week I beat the so called World Champion Candice one two three in the centre of the ring. That’s the second time I’ve beat you by the way and I left my mark on you this time. In case you forgot, here’s a reminder.

Velvet: Watch your back champ, third time’s the charm. I’m cashing this TV Title in soon and taking what is rightfully mine, the World Championship. It’s my time now!

What a statement made by TV Champion Velvet Sky, rubbing salt in the wounds of Candice by dragging back up last week’s humiliation at the hands of the Beautiful People. Not only that, but she has Angelina Love one on one in non title action later on tonight. Time for a break but we now know who will be participating for a contract in the final next week, Charlotte and Toni Storm. Don’t go anywhere.

  1. Toni Storm might just surprise Charlotte, she’s that good. Tessa Blanchard will be one to watch as well but she came up short this time. The odds seem to be stacking against Candice as champion, especially if she has to contend with the Beautiful People. Velvet might be good enough to win it alone anyway but will almost certainly have back up.
